For me, when I'm having trouble focusing, I need to hyper focus on one thing... usually reading and usually a quicker book or two that is lighter and more fun. A palette cleanse maybe? And exercise... after a day of just reading. Then I'm able to tackle life's many diversions (big and small) ;)

I definitely need to get some exercise, and I wish I could take a day just to read :P
I actually just finished What Moves The Dead, by T. Kingfisher. Short and a little scary. So good.
